The Space Digital Arts Feature: Tomato
Tomato Interactive: digital design collective

The Tomato collective is a multidisciplinary team of collaborators across many different areas, including the music of Underworld, typography, architecture, filmmaking and branding. Tomato have opened galleries and bars in London to exhibit their work and have already published three highly influential design books.

In 1998 Tomato Interactive was established to extend their design experimentations into the emerging field of interactive design. Tomato Interactive have since firmly established themselves as leaders in the field of Shockwave and Flash design. The Space caught up with Tomato Interactive’s Joel Baumann and Tom Roope to find out their thoughts on how the language of interactivity is evolving.
